The Tamalë series originated from my fascination with industrial architecture and landscapes. I found the  inaccessibility, immensity and unintended aesthetics of industrial sites intriguing. I translated industrial structures into day-to-day functional objects,  in an eclectic way. I try to make these utilitarian objects more personal  by making them more accessible and tangible.

My design is always rational, using the industrial environment as an example, where all only revolves around function. Next to aesthetics, I limit my design to what is minimally needed for function, without any extras.

The Tamalé series consists of a desk, a chair and a bench. All rational, functional and elegant. The objects are made out of beautiful and strong materials that serve the function. The form combined with the materials creates a strong, simple and aesthetics image – with a noticeable influence of the industrial.
